Wiring Clausing Colchester Lathe

Hi All,

Getting ready to wire up a new (to me) lathe in the shop. The machine is an early to mid 80’s Clausing Colchester 15x50 which is a 208v machine. I plan to feed it via a 15hp rotary converter at 240v.

My question is: Is it as simple as changing the tap voltage on the transformer in the machine’s elec. cabinet from the 208v tap to the 230v tap?
