I am curious when this Blanchard was made. The serial number 5455 is stamped into a pad near your right hand if your facing the machine. I was told it was a 1959 18-36, but the tape measure says it's actually an 18-30. The motor-generator for the magnet has a 1943 date stamped into it with the USN stamps. However, the Blanchard itself is pretty clean and has no USN stamps or war finish tags that are almost always present on war machines I have seen/owned.
