WTB - 24" camelback straight edge

Hi All,

I am interested in purchasing a 24" cast iron straight edge to begin my scraping journey (my current surface plate is 18" x 24"). I am interested in any condition (i.e., raw casting, ground casting, ground & scraped, etc.)

You can get a 24” camelback straightedge casting (annealed but not machined) from my friend Gary Martin. His web site is Martin Model – martinmodel

Suggest looking up Denis Foster here on PM or on eBay. I’d recommend his 18” or 26” dovetail casting. Richard King also makes a nice 24” dovetail camelback. Both handle well in use.

If you’re planning on rescraping machinery a straight edge is a good first project.

Okay i chatted with Denis and ordered one of his fresh 26” castings. He says to say hi to you (“say hi to 7 for me”)
