Anyone know of a shop in the Southeast U.S. that has a CNC plasma or laser that handles an 8 x 20 (or even 8 x 40) sheet or 7 GA or 3/16 steel sheet?

Looking for a new supplier. Thinking it may be cheaper to have pieces cutout and truck those pieces in vs. local supplier buying bastard size sheets and cutting locally.

Going to FabTech in Atlanta in a couple of weeks. Going to poke around and ask there as well.

O’Neal, southern steel, Morgan, quality iron, ryreson, co-built, providential, north Mississippi fab...
That is just south Memphis and south haven ms. Birmingham Alabama has a few.

Division 9 outside atl.

Steel Service in Jackson ms has a massive table.

Many steel supply houses have tables that size.

Only someone who has not tried that size will touch it. To big to handle: it is a wet noodle in that size. The price will be high.

Just wondering. why 40' sheet, are you cutting something beyond 20' in uninterrupted length ?
My suppliers charge me the same based on weight for 8,10,20 length sheets, We always stay away from long lengths if not need for the size of the cut/part.

I think the only reason I mentioned 40 was because sheet comes in that size.

My parts next very well in an 8' x 20' sheet. They are practically designed to fit in an 8 x 20 sheet.

I was just curious, we use to use 40 footers quite often, they came in on rail flat cars.
3/8" and 1/2" thick, real pain in the ass to handle.
