Xometry Prices

I was planning on finally finishing my Xometry demo part, just so i can get access to their job board and maybe keep my youngest son busy during an upcoming lull in work.

Another question; what's the big niche in their job board that doesn't seem to get filled? I do a lot of larger parts (HAAS VF-8 size stuff 40 x 63 inches) and was hoping there might be a higher paying in road there.

I finished up my mill test piece and sent it off to Xometry.

How long does it take them to review it?

I did the test part a few years ago because I was curious about what was available on the job board. Took maybe a week for them to inspect it if I remember correctly. To answer your previous question the best money making "niche" I’ve seen on Xometry is thin plate work, you need the right workflow or machine to do it effectively though…

I actually do a lot of thin plate work. Hell, I just finished a part that was .035 thick with a .025 deep pocket taking up most of the middle of it. I swear, engineers only send us the nightmare parts that no one else wants to do.
