The Micro5 represents an advancement in precision engineering, specifically designed to cater to the needs of small, micro-technical workpieces. Featuring a remarkable 5:1 ratio of machine to workpieces, a weight five times lighter compared to larger machines, and an impressive 50-fold reduction in energy consumption compared to conventional systems, the 5-axis Micro5 machining center stands out for its compactness, quick setup, and versatility.

Key features of the must-have in micro-machining

Despite its compact size, the Micro 5 is a high-performance milling spindle that reduces machining time compared to larger machines. With fast tool changes completed in under five seconds, this innovative machining center sets a new standard for efficiency in manufacturing. The compact, five-axis Micro5 machining center guarantees precision and optimal surface quality, thanks to its remarkable rigidity. Operating at just 500 Watts, the Micro5 is the most energy efficient machine. Also, it offers a tranquil working environment with noise levels below 50 decibels, surpassing even the typical noise output of a dishwasher.

Feed5 – up to 8 days of autonomy

In response to the evolving needs of manufacturers seeking increased autonomy and productivity, the CHIRON Group introduces Feed5, a six-axis handling robot tailored specifically for the Micro5 compact machining center.

The Feed5 automation can efficiently load and unload two Micro5 centers. It is a modular concept, able to be scaled into a series production line by plug-and-play. As compact as the Micro5 itself, the Feed5 is particularly useful for enabling increased autonomy and productivity in larger series production. Additionally, the maximum workpiece size for the Micro5 is 50 x 50 x 50 mm (L x W x H).
