Demand for industrial machine maintenance and repair continues to rise in key growth markets

CINCINNATI, OH – The UP! Network is excited to announce they are expanding their service outside of the U.S. Beginning May 24, 2021, UP! will be available in both Mexico and Canada providing a direct link for industrial manufacturers to find service technicians for industrial machine maintenance and repair.

Stepping into 2021, the UP! Service Network, continues its growth trajectory by meeting the requests of industrial machinists in surrounding countries. “We were seeing an increase in the number of users requesting service options for Mexico and Canada”, said Dave Rhodes, General Manager for UP!. “After doing a thorough analysis of the market potential in Mexico and Canada, we felt the time was right to expand the UP! network,” said Rhodes.

A recent study (Gardner Business Media, 2021) of the Latin American machine tool market revealed Mexico to be the 8th largest consumer of machines tools in the world, utilizing over 55% of the industrial machines in operation in the region. With the prominent role Mexico continues to play in the worldwide industrial manufacturing arena, coupled with a significant increase in requests from machinists in both Mexico and Canada, the expansion into these neighboring markets was a natural progression.

This news means industrial machine tool operators in Canada and Mexico now have a dedicated source linking them to a large network of service providers. Requesters continue to turn to the UP! Network to better manage their maintenance schedules while also reaching out during those times when repairs are needed, resulting in less downtime. For service providers, this translates to more opportunities for growth within each market. Said Rhodes, “The availability of UP! in these new markets delivers dramatically expanded reach for providers and requesters being served by UP!. We are excited to be answering the call from those in our network requesting options outside the U.S. This expansion highlights our commitment to focused growth of UP!.“

The UP! Network celebrated its third birthday in January and was recently awarded a MobileWebAward from the Web Marketing Association (WMA) for the Best Manufacturing Mobile Application award in the “Best of Industry” category. During these three years, UP! has experienced tremendous growth in the number of users while making significant improvements to the technology in the areas of connectivity, chat interaction, and real-time video conferencing.

UP! is committed to working with local service providers to ensure the network continues to offer unparalleled options for those needing maintenance and repair for their machine tools, while ensuring the service technicians have opportunities for expansion of their services. “It is a win-win for everyone,” Rhodes said.
