WALTER to Feature Advanced Cutting Tool Technologies at EASTEC and SOUTHTEC ‘21

Waukesha, WI — Walter, a leading cutting tool manufacturer, will showcase several new cutting tool technologies at both the EASTEC ’21 Exhibit, booth no. 5642 in W. Springfield, MA and SOUTHTEC ’21, booth no. 439 in Greenville, SC.

The exhibit will feature the new Walter Xtra∙tec® XT M5130 family of high-productivity milling cutters, and the Walter Cut DX grooving system, which is based on the patented SmartLock system, that provides an highly reliable positive-locking of the insert and reduces indexing time by 70%.

Walter will exhibit a variety of its latest cutting tool technologies at both EASTEC and SOUTHTEC 2021.

New Tiger·tec® Gold WSP45G high performance PVD cutting material for milling and drilling difficult to machine stainless steels and high temperature alloys as well as steels will be featured, expanding the reach of Tiger·tec® Gold into applications further into aerospace and energy industries.

Also featured will be Walter’s expansion to its range of tough, reliable, and long-life standard solid carbide end mills. The MD133 dynamic milling tools will be joined by new MD838 and MD839 circle segment cutters for high productivity finishing as well as MD377 tools for titanium roughing to semi-finishing with high metal removal rates.

Further, the company will present its range of Walter Titex DC160 solid carbide drills with XD Technology for deep hole drilling up to 30 x Dc without pecking in nearly all material groups.

The exhibit will also demonstrate the Walter Online catalog and its tool specific search capabilities, Walter GPS to find optimum machining solutions and Walter Innotime® to find the most cost-effective machining solutions.
