I’ve had this forklift several years now and the water pump needs replaced. I’m not certain where to order and even what engine I have. I’m confident it’s 1985...
SN: DOC2013138F
Can anyone help identify what 4 cyl engine I have? Sourcing parts?
Also, I can’t find any information on the ‘E’, in S50E.

internet search for "Hyster S50E" results in many sources for information, manuals, etc. How far are you from me? I can come and assist you if you need.

The serial number is probably D002013138F.
The D002 indicates S30E-S50E.
The F indicates 1985.
Engine should be a GM 4-153.

The S is the cushion tire type.
50 is size.
E is the series.
S50C, S50E, S50F,.......

Yes, it’s D002.... That’s great news if it’s a GM engine. I should be able to pickup a water pump for $20-$30. Thank you so much for your time!

To order parts for this unit you need an accurate serial number. You’re missing some digits and you have some digits in the wrong spot. To learn more about what a ‘good’ Hyster serial number looks like, check out this page: Where do I find my Hyster forklift's serial number?

As far as the model. S = “SpaceSaver”. That was Hyster’s designation for a cushion tired forklift. 50 = 5,000 pound capacity @ a 24 inch load center. E was simply a design series.
