Am I the only person with Gibbs software crashing?

A long time Gibbs user that has been plagued by slow downs and crashes.

Crashes that take out the work I have been working on along with saved work.

Most times it crashes when I hit "Save" or do the "Control S" that just happens automatic at times.

Do you remember what your last stable release was? Can you ask Gibbs to reissue it to you?

Your situation is one of the frustrating aspects of CAM (or other business critical softwares), perhaps worse than the "other company buys your vendor and then shuts it down"...
 
Version 13 has been very stable for us. Version 12 seem to lock up - slow down occasionally.
What release are you running?

Oh, also set the auto save for the amount of time you feel is too much to throw away.
 
I don't use Gibbs, but I do have one idea.

Have had issues before with anti-virus programs causing weird cam software problems. Ended up having to get our IT guy to add exceptions for various files the main program would access.

If you have any anti-virus running maybe you can try disabling it to see if it fixes the problem?
 
I have mastercam and it is the same way it doesn’t mess with your saved stuff but it will sure as hell crash on you

I'm now running V12.0.45 on Win7

I have the new 13 releases, had issues installing on Win 10 and reverted.



When was my last stable version?

I know it was back when Bill Gibbs was still the guy and it was on Win XP.
