Get an old disc brake rotor. One with no vents in the middle. You can slice an arc off one and there is your crescent shaped wedge. You can make a dozen in about 10 minutes with a portaband or sawzall. Any auto garage has a bunch laying around for scrap. If you have any barstock laying about same thing. Cut a chunk off and you are good to go.

If I remember correctly the radius of that thing is 3" ie it can be cut off of a 6" disc.The originals are forged steel and very strong.Determined by trial and error with an armstrong washer.
