Just picked up this surface grinder and need help identifying the model so I can get a manual. Searching the internet, all I see are the Boyar Schultz Challenger and Deluxe models. I have not seen one picture that looks like this style. Is this newer or older then the Challenger model or was it produced at the same time? From what I can tell the Challenger model had a separate hydraulic unit on the outside. This is internal and has the control knobs on the front for X and Y movement for grinding and Y movement for wheel dressing. The motor in underneath with a single v belt to drive the spindle. The Boyar Schultz information tag on the side only says H618 for the model. My main information need is an electrical diagram. The wheel head and hydraulic motor contactors pull in but drop out as soon as you let go of the push button. I am guessing there may be a permissive for running based on fluid level or maybe filter differential. I can always trace out the wiring and figure it out that way. It would be nice to have the manual though. Are there any companies that sell parts for Boyar Schultz and may also have the correct manual?
