Grinding Mother of Pearl Equipment??

I want to grind mother of pearl pieces with a wet grinder sharpener to minimize the mop dust when grinding.
Can anyone suggest an affordable wet grinder with the proper speed for this? I was looking at this one, but I think 150 rpm just wont grind mother of pearl. 10" Variable-Speed Wet Sharpener at Grizzly.com

Do you need a table to support the work? You'll have to add one.

Also, if the amount of work warrants it, I'd look into getting a diamond plated wheel to replace the Al oxide ones, but no idea which grit might be best for your needs. If the parts are small, you could get a multi-grit wheel so you could rough and finish on the same width.

Another advantage of a plated wheel is the option of forms being designed into it, so if you had hollows or external curves in mind you can "build them in".
