Hi guys .
I work on a studer s35 favourite, I setup my self internal grinding head, and now I try to grinding I.D. part.
I built some trial shaft by copying some of them to the internet!
I see (I think) the best way to fix wheels
is to glue them on quills.
what kind of adhesive used to glue the internal grinding wheels?

do you know in the product to recover the queels when the wheel is completely worn out?

Thanks 😊
Daniele

Can you make a new quill where the wheels can be secured with a screw? Much quicker and easier to change internal wheels this way. Any chance of a photo of your current set up?

Just about any two part epoxy works for mounting small wheels.

I'm partial to 3M 2216. a known and respected adhesive.

I will not suggest any "5 minute" epoxys. But there may be some good ones.

I used ID wheels secured with a screw into the quill, with the quill having a shoulder step for the wheel end to bump . The ID wheels often had the wrong bore size so I would drill press drill then with a carbide drill..and made blotters for the but ends.

Spindle direction such to tighten the screw
