We just bought a few items at auction, including a Harig 612 Automatic surface grinder. I will need to move this and other equipment from SF Bay area to southern AZ, and want to get any recommendations and prep guidance for the surface grinder prior to a 900 mile trip. I saw another thread from a while back about removing the table on a 618 Harig for transport, but am unsure whether this is needed on the 612.
I see also a label on the machine that says "Hardened Tool Steel Ways". Does this machine have balls riding on said ways, or are these plain flat bearing surfaces? Thanks --
