Norton Surface Grinder Identification Help Needed

The data plate on this grinder says it's a 6 x 12 but the table size indicates it's a 6 x 18. Also, Norton sales brochures doesn't indicate they ever sold a 6 x 12 hydraulic surface grinder. They sold 6x12 manual grinders but none with hydraulics.

I haven't found a serial number decoding site for Norton Grinders but I think it's serial number H477181944 means. Serial number H477, 18 inch, manufactured in 1944. Or it could also mean serial number H4771, manufactured the 8th month of 1944. Do any of you guys know which is correct?

As you can see from the photos it needs some TLC

1944 per serial book, which interests itself only in the fact of it being 6"

Have the several page 6" brochure from those days that can be emailed if you care to provide that email address in a PRIVATE MESSAGE to me with Norton 6" in the subject line
