Stumbled by luck on a Okamoto 820cnc with dead controls.
This machine has needle rollers on the in/out axis which makes it perfect base for my 4 axis cnc radius swing uses.
Do all Okamoto 820 size or others have needle bearings on the in/out? This way arrangement very important for the refits I build for myself.
Otherwise I have to fit some type of rollers/needles on the normal ways which can be a pain.

I see lots of the DX model for sale but do not know this in/out way construction.
Also the cnc version came with a 5 HP spindle. I think the DX to be 3 but can work with that.

All you with a Oka and handwheel Z axis. Are there rollers on the in/out or just normal ways?

Standard way design for Okamoto saddle type is a double v way on saddle & table for dx models. The st utilizes a double v on saddle & front v/ flat back way for table.
Older machine were steel on steel. Newer machines typically run turcite on table & saddle bottom ways. Bases being steel.
Can you provide pics?
I am very curious to see this for myself.
