Can anyone relate how an Oliver 300HD would work as far as grinding horizontal milling cutters, I've never seen one in person and would like to know how handy they would be.
I was hoping for some one who has run one and knows what it looks like, and it's capabilities. Oliver thinks they ae great but I'm having trouble seeing how they would be very handy to run.
I have not run one but the biggest difference with the ACE is that instead of moving the work piece into the wheel (like a traditional surface grinder) you traverse the cutting head into the work piece. As with any cutter grinder tooling is everything. By the way Oliver of Adrian is an awesome company to deal with and still supports its older machines to the best of its abilities.
