I'm planning to look at a Chevalier FSG-168M surface grinder next week. I've been searching the Internet trying to find a manual for it - so far, no luck. The most immediately needed information is that about lifting and moving. I did contact the U.S. office and, after asking for the serial number, they indicated that they did not have a manual available.

From the photos that I've seen, there are two holes on the front that are probably for rigging together with corresponding holes on the back. If anyone has any information about moving these machines I'd appreciate hearing it. In particular, are the holes intended for a bar to be inserted through front to back or are they threaded for a bolt? Also, should the table be removed or is it acceptable to be strapped in place?

Many/most say to pull the table on ball way machines.
I like to wrap a grinder to keep road dust out of the works.
Setting the wheel,on a block of wood protects the up/down device.
