magnetic parallels for surface grinder
Hey people,
Midway thru another week. Back in the day, in the shop where I worked, we had a set of parallel bars used for holding parts on a magnetic chuck....easy you say, a dime a dozen....not so fast! These parallels were unique; one edge was serrated (not sharp though) and they were thinner in the center, along the length, and were manufactured slightly bowed...when you put them on the chuck, and it was energized, the parallels flattened out, providing some downwards pressure on your work...has anyone any knowledge of anything like this?
Thanks in advance,
Mark
