This is what we have been doing, and what's in our official Royal Master 12x4 Manual for thru feed setups. However it appeared judging from the regulating wheel spindle center after removing the cap on the casting this put us way below center line. We broke it back apart measured and what we thought we saw was an optical illusion, the formula seems correct. We are back to the guides and very minor adjustments, as per royal setup troubleshooting. any additional ideas?

You are correct it will look below centerline on the front end of the part. This is because you have rotated the reg spindle down in back and it goes up in the front. Lets say you are running at 2 degree angle of inclination and the pivot point is right in the middle of the reg wheel that is 4 inches wide. At 2" half the reg wheel width the front of the wheel will be up .070" and the farther out you go it will look like it is below centerline. Just use there formula and it should work. Don't forget to change the diamond set over also.
