I picked up a couple of Norton SG single point dressers. The diamond is "resetable". I can't find any info on doing that or how it's done. Anyone know how?............Bob

I believe you have to send back to norton to do this.

But unless it is a huge diamond I think it is not worth the costs.

bhigdog,

The Norton resettable diamonds can be sent back to be reset by Norton at no extra charge. You can obtain an RGA (Returned Goods Authorization) by contacting Norton's Customer Service.

The re-settables are the way to go if you do not mind sending them back. You may need to keep an extra one at the shop to use while yours is being reset.

Just be sure not to grind a flat in a way that it will eliminate any possibility of turning the diamond. Some people grind the top point of the diamond down so far that it destroys the two adjacent points...leaving you with only one reset...assuming that the bottom point is good enough to use.
