I have a number of grinding wheels that have a 1.25" arbor hole. Is that a common size and what machines have that size arbor. I think I would like to own a small surface grinder. I am sure I could make a bushing if need be. any body have a small surface grinder they would like to part with? I am a low budget hobbyist with blades to sharpen.

1 and 1/4 is a very common size hole. 7 or 8 inch diameter by 1/4 , 1/2 ,3/4, or 1 inch wide wheels with 1 1/4 hole. Harig, Okamoto, Brown and Sharpe, Boyer Shultz, Covel and several others made models to take that size. Grinder sizes 6 by 12 or 6 by 18 inch or 8 by 20 usually use that size.
