We have been operating a walter HMC 400 (1997) for about 2 years , mostly have been doing simple 2 - 3 flute endmills and some 2 flute cutters for wood .
We ran into an issue while trying to do some cylindrical grinding (using pack 17). The gist of it is , after filling out the required paramaters and making sure the wheelpack is properly set, the machine will probe for lenght then go back to its reference point. Once its there it puts out a "No setup methode for wheel or tool defined" . Now i know for a fact that the setup methode for the wheels is defined (i also changed the methode multiple times). As for the tool , well as far as i know i inputted all the values needed , its a pretty simple pack . Also i did try to input a value in every field of the UI just to make sure some wierd bug wasnt happening where it would read a 0 value as non-existant .
This is frustrating and im beginning to think that the pack is malfunctioning .
Any help would be apreciated .
