Howdy-

I have several potential applications for a process that would give me:

  • A thermal coefficient of expansion about like aluminum (24 ppm/C).
  • A working temp. range of -55 to +125 C
  • Machineable, threadable
  • Directly electrolessly platable, that is, no painting or coating. (Etching would be OK)
  • As low a density as possible; target 1-1/2 g/cm^3

Any suggestions?

Mark

ABS is what 90 percent of the budget printers use. Thermally stable (youll have to compare CoTE numbers) and us one of the few plastics that is platable.
