I have acquired a 16” G&E Shaper that I would like to find some more information on. The only stamped number that I have found so far is a “22” stamped in the column near the adjustable keeper for the ram. The latest patent date is September 10, 1912. I am guessing that this shaper is dated in mid or late teens? It does not have an oil pump and the clutch is a shop addition. It is setup for a flat belt (a belt even came with it) but has a transmission added with a single phase motor. The transmission is a four speed, maybe automotive?

Hopefully the photos attach, the interface here on an iPhone isn’t real great
