I have a 1920s Lodge and Shipley 18" x 54" selective head in Norfolk VA that needs a new home. It comes with an Armstrong quick change toolpost, a few holders and some tool steels. The machine has a low speed 7.5 hp motor with plenty of grunt transfered by a 4" flatbelt all mounted to the machine. It has a quick selection threading gearbox/tumbler that works fine. It has a taper attachment that needs a bed clamp. one of the gear selectors has a gear that doesn't select, I have what I think is the gear to replace it that came with the machine, I have just never looked into it. There is minor damage here and there from living in industrial environments for 100 years, but it is all there. I stripped most of the many layers of paint, so most of that work is done. The lathe is perfectly functional as is, but could use a few odds and ends.
Anyone with 200$ that isn't going to scrap it is welcome to it.
I need to make room for machines that fit my needs better (carbide speeds).
Thanks,
Mike
