So I picked up my first milling machine yesterday at a bargain price. However, it is not a single machine. In fact, it appears to be about 4 different machines. The motor and motor mount has come from a Rishton VM machine. The head, gearbox and vertical slide is from a EMCO FB2, and the x, y table appears to be two different machines again but I am not sure which. The original paint appears to be peach on one, and a deep red on the other.
Has anyone ever seen such a miss-match of parts before???
A previous previous owner extended the travel of the X-axis hence the ghetto extension and trapezoidal thread *eugh*.
