Antique comparator, dual gauge, pivot micrometer? Any information is appreciated

I recently acquired this from a large collection that was just full of interesting items.

Doing some research someone pointed me this way to this forum using a reverse image search finding the thread shown below.

If anyone knows anything else about this piece please let me know. I plan to list it for sale and would prefer to have as much information as possible.

You have a 19th century watchmaker's dial caliper. I have two of them. The early 20th century catalog called it a dial degree gauge, perhaps because of the 360 division dial.
