    Default Ballscrew ID help

    All,

I picked up this ballscrew at a recent auction. I am trying to ID it so I can describe it correctly and or hopefully identify what machine it fits. I don't want to open the packaging at this time, as then it would be open package versus unopened, etc..

    Thanks for any help,

    CB1

G and L likely refers to Giddings and Lewis. You have the part number written on the box.
Contact G&L and they will likely be able to tell you the application.

I suggest opening and measuring the screw OD, screw rise, ballnut dimensions.
This will immediately give the screw better value on ebay etc.

A NOS screw based on theoretical specs from 2004 will give == lowish value.
