    Default Benchmaster mill question

The distance between the spindle and the bed is 7" and with the present end mill holder it drops down to 4 7/8" and with the mill another 2" which leaves about 2 7/8" clearance to work on something. This is not enough even for a small vise so it is a lot of time spent clamping work.
My question is, are there other means of holding end mill cutters higher up inside the mt.
    thanks

I'm trying to remember - I believe the bench master uses an MT 2 collet system which would eliminate the end mill holder you displayed. Thst should gain you 4" or so

I use MT2 collets, you can pick up a set of 8 on eBay for $30
