I've been doing a lot of book browsing this winter. Came across this manufacturer in a couple different books. They appear to have offered a wide variety of machines. From what I recall reading, they were absorbed into Bullard in 1894. I had not heard of them before. Does anyone have, or know of any surviving machines from this manufacturer? If so, pictures would be great!:drool5:

I agree, hopefully it is still around. Seems a lot old and unusual pieces of machinery show up here that people have saved, if you watch over time. I was surprised the Bridgeport Tool Works name had never shown up here and caught my eye.

A long time ago I saw a Bridgeport Machine Tool Works 42" vertical turret lathe at a machine shop.
It was a very early one. I always wanted to get it but lost contact with the owner.

I'm a little late to this thread, but I picked this up on craigslist yesterday. If anyone can give me any info on it that would be great. It seems to be missing a few gears.

Here is a lathe ad from 1883.
