Hi
I seem to remember seeing a British ? made forged tool holder for a lathe that was similar to the Walton American design. I believe the British made one had more positions when you rotated it. In that respect it was made kind of like a Williams shaper tool holder (serrations). I would like to find one in the same size as a #5 Walton.

Thanks for any help with the name, size or finding one.

Andy

Thanks Limy
I will do some searching with those names. Williams, Armstrong and a few other over here made the same type of shaper tool holders you posted photos of but they are different. I have used the Waltons on both shapers and lathes. From old adds Walton seemed to have marketed them mainly for lathe use. They are a parallel mount type however. They will hold a range of sizes and shapes.
The #5 size is fairly small the one in my photo is mounted in a BXA holder.
