Recently came into a Canedy Otto No28 when my in laws were moving and it was left from the previous owner. Found this site with some threads going back to 2010 where one was rebuilt. Up front I am not a machinist but I am not afraid to try to get things working either. I just don’t have the heart to scrap this thing but before I go down the road of dismantling it, cleaning it up and doing much research figured I would ask on here what kind hobby project am I getting myself into? Ideally would love to bring it back to life I just don’t have any tools if something needed to be reproduced. I will throw some pictures up later this evening for folks to chime in on. Any input would be appreciated.

I had a Canedy-Otto #24. Nice little press. Guy I know really wanted it and offered to buy it so I sold it.

I think that's just a bench top unit and thus it has the "base". That one looks complete to me, even has the rear line shaft pulleys complete with belt shifter. Great find.
