I am back after a few years. I just was given a Clausing 6329 12" X 36" lathe in pieces. It appears most of the pieces are there, but the carriage apron has a problem. The shaft, C-365, that has the gears on it that connect the apron to the lead screw has two retaining clips, Clausing part # C-300 and C-300A that I have not been able to get out so I can clean the apron box and refill with oil. The two retaining clips are sandwiched between two gear, C-330 and C-314, with a third gear in the middle of the two. The Clausing parts book only show the two gears but not the middle gear. The C-365 shaft connects to the Lever Housing, Q-370, and with the retaining clips still attached I cannot get the Lever Housing to come out.
Hopefully, one of the members have rebuilt one of these gems. Thank you.
