Hi guys, here is a link to the rebuild of my other lathe, a 13" geared head Covmac, made during WW2, not in Coventry, but in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, UK, by P&C Garnett, a textile machine manufacturer, as war work. I would be interested to know if any Covmac lathes made it to the USA, because although Covmac machinery for making nuts and bolts turns up all over the world, the lathes seem to only exist in the UK., Hope you enloy it!

that is the floor! Having had to work on an uneven pitted floor for about twenty years, one which was made from concrete that was more ballast than cement, trolley jacks jammed in potholes, cars balanced on (and sometimes off) uneven jackstands when I could finally afford it, I ripped out all the old floor, and replaced it with powerfloated readymix, topped by three coats of non slip light grey floorpaint. My name is phil, and I am OCD about my workshop!
