Mine was very tight the first time I tried to remove it. I first did a few heat / cold cycles and then a few days soaked in Kroil. After that it came right out with a drift and hammer.
I am a huge fan of Kroil!!!!!!!!
Mine is only held in by a peened over section of the pin from the metal jaws side. I had some rust holding it in the first time.

    Hey,
Starting with the Tilt Rod. Let me know what I missed for measurements. 13 5/8" Overall length. I think the angles are more for casting draft than anything else, but that's a guess.

    Hi,
I believe this is part of the tilt adjustment bracket or angle according to the emmert anatomy page. I believe mine is missing something and the bolt head is broken off. It bolts into the tilt adjustment clamp. I must be missing a part that fixes it to the underside of the bench. Anyone got any ideas?

Here is the clamp. I need a few days to take measurements and I need to take it apart. Gonna spray with kroil.

I think I am good. I've had to step away for family matters, but things should be ok by next week. I'll probably have a question once I get a piece of steel in the mill, but I appreciate all the info so far.

    Hi,
Sorry for the delay. Here is the tilt rod clamp. Let me know if I missed any measurements. The bolt is threaded on both ends and is bent so it's stuck in there for now. Also, don't have a thread gage here so can't tell you exactly what the bolt is. It does look standard though.

Thanks again for all the help.

The bolt on my T-5 is also bent. It's 3/8-16.

You don't happen to have the measurements for the bracket as well do you. I am trying to make the part that I am missing which is the tilt adjustment clamp and bracket. Any help would greatly appreciated.

Here is the bracket from my T-5.
It's pretty straight forward except for the swiveling tapered feature you see in the second picture..
The base of the bracket is about 5" x 2 5/8". The height is about 3 1/2".
Of course it's cast so it has gussets and thicker metal where it needs it.
