Looking for help identifying this grinder countershaft. Granted I have not cleaned it up, but I do not see any markings on it. I am thinking it is likely from a Diamond Machine Co. of Providence, RI grinder since they used the rods hanging down with the T handles which were turned to shift the belts.

Does anyone have any literature that might confirm or deny my suspicion? Other thoughts on who manufactured it and for what machine? Thanks.

Greenfield.
For their cutter grinders.
Used for both the "Greenfield" and "Wells" cutter grinders.

Ah.... I have most of a Greenfield T&C grinder, the entire stand and table assembly, but not the grinder head. It has another head system grafted onto it complete with motor, and so has no use for a countershaft. But it is otherwise exactly the item in the first pic (and illustrated in a text I have).

Interesting to see the rest of the device.

I also have a Greenfield grinder that is missing its countershaft and I would be interested in your countershaft if you decide to part with it. My grinder has the head intact and I have centers but none of the other accessories are with it.
