Help identify these tools

Got these at auction in a lot that I bought. No idea and no patent number to check. (1-2-3 block for scale - I know what that is)

Item on the left looks like it might be handy for grabbing pipe of a certain size, like well casing. You can search the patent number on it on Google - type in "google patent search" to start.
 
If you do the "Facebook" thing, there are several vintage tool groups on there that are a great asset in trying to identifying odds and ends like these.
 
They came from a place that also had some model t's - so something to do with cylinder fitting is very likely.

I'm going to keep the bead breaker for motorcycle tires for now - but the other thing is "FREE for Shipping" if anybody wants it
