Pratt & Whitney Model C collet Lathe - tools - by owner - sale

Not very close of course - but this sort of stuff is where ever it is - and it needs to be pounced on

I'm not sure how much you will find on disassembling your lathe. I know that with watchmaker's lathes, the baby brother of plain turning lathes, the user was expected to be able to disassemble, clean & assemble and adjust the lathe themselves. Part of learning watchmaking.
When i bought the Stark 10+ years ago, it seemed like a good idea to take the spindle apart to clean everything but i couldn't figure out how to get the pulley loose, so i just adjusted the spindle and have been using it ever since. It's total loss oiling anyway, so plenty of oil has been flushed through it.
For the belt, it is old and has lacing with a cross pin that can be removed so you don't need to disassemble the headstock to remove it.

Thanks again. I have to start checking this thread once a day. I missed the last craigslist posting it was already sold. I did speak to the guy in St. Louis From the first listing you sent me. He wasn’t interested in selling some of the tooling. Thanks again for finding this stuff
