I have a 14X30 18 speed gear drive Hendey 1950's SN. No taper attachment. However the lock mechanism to lock the slide to the taper attachment is connected to a fixed casting so it will lock the slide. Is original from Hendey.
I have no thread stop. I do have the rapid back-out attachment to remove the tool from the work quickly. I do have a few other Hendeys one if I recall is 1956 vintage 24" it has like a couple of others the rod in the cross slide with a graduated Nut/knob.
I was wondering if there is some way to use the rapid return to set up a thread stop or since it's supplied one is not needed?
I would like to use the thread stop as a stop for turning multiple diameters.
