Pratt & Whitney Watch Makers Lathe and Milling Machine for sale in DC.

The owner of that is a member here. He has posted it for sale in the past.

The countershaft is not the geared unit- that version has just the three speeds provided by the cone pulley.

Yup that's me, I've got an old ad around here somewhere. It isn't a gearbox, it's an enclosed countershaft that lets you mount the motor below the bench. If I was keeping it (too many lathes and mills!) I would use the countershaft with the mill, and bench mount the motor for the lathe. I'm entirely open to taking/posting pics. I'll probably strip and paint the mill gloss black during the holiday break, just to up the sales likelihood.

A look in the 1912 Toolmaking book (sorry, can't remember title:D) will show the lathe making watch TOOLING (master plates) but not watches. These were the jig bores/jig grinders before such dedicated machines became available.

The book is Accurate Tool Work by Goodrich and Stanley
