Default I got it home. Walcott 16 x 64 lathe

Welcome to the newest old machine. The 1917 Walcott 16 X 64 precision machine lathe. I have finished the initial inspection, and there are no defects. All the ways are in good shape, and all factory tools are here. It can cut 111 types of threads, with the optional gearset , which I have. img_20190329_183252.jpg
It has a 12in combination Chuck, manual and self centered. It has a pair of faceplates, live, and dead centers. Power carriage and cross slide. Steady rest, dozen cutters, some large bits, and the number one option. A complete and functioning taper cutting attachment. And I bought it for iron weight. The owner wanted to see it used again. I can probably sell the vintage oilers for what I have into it. And, whats even cooler for some people, This particular machine, Tag #23 is part of a 30 machine order in 1917, by... Henry Ford. Probably lots of parts on your Model T, A, and countless other ford products were made on this machine. And guessing from the dedicated taper cutter, it probably made 100,000 gun barrels in WW2.img_20190329_183244.jpg
