Identify thread dial

Hello fellows, trying to identify a thread dial. Run it past my close lathe friends, and no luck getting a manufacturer. Only notable details are, gear is for 8tpi, (meshes with a 1”-8 tap), aluminum body, and mounts under leadscrew, in horizontal position.



Anyone have a suggestion to manufacturer? I searched google images hoping to verify it wasn’t manufactured by company “not to be mentioned here”. Didn’t see any similarities.

I acquired it in a box of parts for a W.F. Barnes #5 lathe. I’ve never see literature on a thread dial for these lathes.
