Not sure if antique or not, but juat picked this up a few months ago, havent had a chance to run it or clean it. Is this a good lathe? Is it better than say my small Sofia ?

Anyone know where i can print a manual in English for this lathe?

Thanks!

Thanks for the info, seems like a good machine but only half the weight of a monarch 10ee.

Anyways, heres a pic of my Sofia.

I have the same machine. Found in very good shape at a good price. Motor was 550v 3 phase. Adapted an 220v single phase reversible motor to it for now. Works great, highly accurate after getting leveled and settled. Came with 3 jaw and Harding sped collet chucks and factory installed taper attachment. $1700 usd. I thought was a fair price. Picked up an almost new 8” bison 4 jaw set true chuck with the proper backplate mount for another $190 on eBay.

Thanks for input. This might be a silly question, but im not able to remove the chuck. Is this a cam lock spindle?

Thanks
