Lathe ID if possible please.

This is for sale locally to me but I can't determine the manufacturer or model to know if it is even worth calling about.

At a glance it looks like solid well made lathe. Condition, price and tooling can make or break it. It appears to be under power which is a plus. You could do a lot worse if the price is right.

Correction, I don't thinki it is under power, was going by chips in the floor. With the wires in the bed probably not. Looks like it was just set there.

On a better note I see what looks like another chuck and a steady rest in the chip pan.

If you go to Tony's lathe site at this link I am pretty sure you'll see a lathe extremely similar to the one in the ad.

I see Harold already posted the link to Tony’s site.
I think it predates 1980 but not sure .
Omnitrade Machinery that used to be just off the south side of HWY 40 I think in Ville St.Laurent were the Tos importers in at least in the 1980s .
They also had a place in Toronto.

I'd differ from Tony calling the tailstock conventionat-it's an instrument lathe tailstock in Industrial size! Most unusual.
