It's an Axelson lathe. No idea about the tee slots. Maybe for a tool post grinder? Just a guess.

Here in the UK the tee slots were built in for steadies and line boring set ups etc etc

I don't see T slots on the apron but I do see them on the carriage and almost every lathe that is over 100 years old has them for boring cylinders and such. The job was bolted to the carriage and a boring bar was used between centers.

It is mandatory to add the photos of advertisements so that when the ad is gone, you don't end up with useless posts.

I had one that looked like its twin, but no names on it except for the seller, something like Gould & Eberhardt. Sold it before I ever run it. Had a set of change gears in boxes, not sure if they were complete.

Yeah, the whole idea of a lathe in a dump truck is not encouraging.

Since he assures the machine is in "great condition", and since he has never used it, I'm sure he has inspected it and MEASURED the wear in the carriage ways, and tailstock. A little lube and she should be good to go.
