Monarch 16 x 78 for sale just north of Syracuse NY

Gentlemen,

Since this thing is ten minutes from my house, and i know the owner, I thought hard about selling my 14 X 8 Hendey Tiebar to make room for this machine. However, for me, it just didn't make sense. The swing is 2" more and about 2 ft more between centers but i don't have the rigging in place to take advantage of this machine and the footprint is quite a bit bgiger than that of the hendey.

As i said, i know the owner. He runs a fair sized fabrication shop and my son did a summer CoOp with them when he was in engineering school. They treated him well and gave him some great experience. I believe the owner to be fair and honest.

If anyone is interested in this machine and would like me to check it our for them, please let me know. No taper attachment, no steady rest. Other than that, they don'e believe the machine has any issues.

This is a straight C, and has Lead Screw Reverse on apron. I would guess it slightly predates the CY.

That is a good price. Should sell fast unless the market is saturated where your at.

I'd be interested but have a late model P&W C the same size.
