I was using my Moore #3 Jig Borer the other day, all was working as it should. Just before completing the last hole the spindle speed control stopped working. Everything else worked fine, I cold not Increase or Decrease spindle speed. Been so busy I didn't have time to check it out. Anyone know what might be the problem. I was using the machine with the spindle support at the very top of the travel.

Do you have an electrical print?
Is there some sort of knob or rotary switch on the operator panel, if so check the device behind the knob.
Possibly an potentiometer?

No, a Moore uses a small motor to change the width of a variable pitch sheave. Since neither increase or decrease works, my first thought is the motor power circuit. You are going to have to open the electric box and have a look. I've never had trouble with mine so I've never had a look. And with 4 screws holding the box shut, it isn't just a casual glance.

gbent is on track

bodine gear motor operating screw mechanically linked to forward variator sheave

I completely guted this system in a retrofit one year ago--have parts if needed

likely electrical contact issue :)
