P&W 6" model B slotter

Finally after 6 months I was able to spring this from its former home (buddy with roll back and right sized forklift sure helped)

1959
Very minimal use and almost looks like new.

Plus a 10 year old for scale.

Beautiful machine. Slotters are fun to run. Your boy looks like he is raring to go! :)

BTW, what's the story with the phantom upright 4x4 in the last photo's background?

Its holding a 13k pound buss 88 planer up. [emoji38] [emoji1787]

Its powered up and running, only had a small electrical fire as the control transformer on it, lost its insides and filled my back room with smoke.

Put another one on and all is good.

What a quiet running machine.

that would machine some nice bolt raceways . whats the granny box [trany] setting against the wall go to / out of ?

That was out of a late 40s one ton ford.

Old borg warner, hoping it had similar internals as the one in my big hyster. I need to replace two gears, sooner than later.

Is that angle plate original P & W furniture, or is that misplaced from a K & T Autometric?

On edit: No, its not for an Autometric. Their angle plates had tee slots both directions.

It looks just like the ones P&W showed in their literature.
